Our steel is Australian and manufactured across three factories in South East Queensland. BlueScope® is our primary supplier with TRUECORE® being our preferred product.

Light gauge steel strength to weight ratio facilitates manoeuvring and installation, with significant time reduction of cranes as well as number of trades on site.

Engineering Certification

In order to ensure transparency, we engage third-party Registered Engineers for inspection, certification and final signoff.

Wall Frames

AFS wall frames can be supplied in 70mm, 90mm, or 140mm wide with steel gauges between 0.55mm bmt – 1.15mm bmt (other sizes can be obtained upon request).

Why choose an AFS wall frame manufactured from TrueCore® steel?• Modern roll-forming technology that results in a better structural frame.• Engineered to meet all wind speeds and earthquake requirements.• 38mm and 45mm flanges on studs to suit different requirements.• Ability to utilise all types of bracing whether it be integrated, face fixed strap, sheet of heavy duty welded AFS Brace®• Swaged studs into tracks to maintain a highly accurate profile and first-class finish.• Studs and tracks use a stronger, lipped c section profile due to the back of profile being ribbed.• Snap in grommets supplied for quick and safe installation of services.• The ability to use either 4.8mm rivets or M6 framing screws.• Pre-punched dimple and rivet/screw holes which add strength and ensure a tidy finish.• Pre-punched service holes, speeding up installation.• Increased fastener corrosion protection using Class 3 & 4 hardware.

Floor Joists

01 Parallel chord open webbed

AFS open webbed floor joists can be supplied using 0.75mm bmt – 1.15mm bmt.

Why choose an AFS Open Floor Joist manufactured from Truecore® steel?• Modern roll-forming technology that results in a better structural frame.• Detailing is carried out with the rest of the frame ensuring load transfer and accurate engineering analysis is carried out.• Can be utilised into a roof environment where a need for “ParallelChord Truss” is required.• Open webs allow for services to easily run between top and bottom chords.• Joist depth is typically 355mm however can be as small as 250mm and as large as1000mm.• Step-downs and fall can be built into the joist.• AFS Joists are fully engineered using a 9.5mm bolt as the connection ensuring superior strength and minimising noise.• Joists are light and easily handleable by one person.• Large spans with high loads are achievable.• Can be used for residential and commercial applications including high load mezzanine floors.• Can be used with particle boards, plywoods, fibre cement sheets and most other flooring types.

Roof Trusses

AFS roof trusses can be supplied using 0.55mm bmt – 1.15mm bmt.

Why choose an AFS Roof Truss manufactured from TrueCore® steel?• Modern roll-forming technology that results in a better structural frame.• Detailing is carried out with the rest of the frame ensuring load transfer and accurate engineering analysis is carried out.• All shapes of truss can be achieved including curved roofs• All pitches of roofs can be achieved.• Can be utilised into a “Parallel Chord Truss” where required.• Open webs allow for services to easily run between top and bottom chords.• Mechanical loads and cavities can be designed into the trusses• AFS trusses are fully engineered using a 9.5mm bolt as the connection ensuring superior strength.• Trusses are light and easily handleable by one person.• Large spans with high loads are achievable.• Can be used for residential and commercial applications.• Can be used with all types of roofing including steel sheeting, plywood (bitumen tiles), and concrete tiles.
